Please do not use social or political separations to define the continental boundaries in answering this question.It is a geographic issue.Both are one land mass wholly connected, and are on the same tectonic plate.Why then are we told 7 continents when there are 6.And why does academia regard Europe and Asia as seperate continents when geographically they are clearly one continent.

You already have the answer: geographically they are clearly one continent. So you can't receive a geographical answer unless you were wrong. But you refuse to receive any answer that is social or political. So you won't find the answer.
Just in case: in many countries it is called "the Eurasian continent".

its on the whole a political concern as to the place europe ends and asia starts. in case you like a extra scientific innovations-set you will desire to look to historic geology. the ural mountains signify the suture of the eu and asian plates interior the assembly of pangaea. if europe and asia are separate continents, then i think of florida would desire to be a separate continent too!
