Is this a meaning of love?

I wonder what your answers will be, my problem is that I know this man for almost all my life and I known him close enough and when I was young I started to like him alot, but never said anything, I was shy at the same time still young to date, he asked me out -to be with him, but i rejected him and said no- its been like 13 years now and I regret it so much, I know that he liked me too alot but I said no, and for as long as i remember I have dreams about him all the time, as if hes apart of me, i always sensed a great connection with him, I miss him terribly, I am dating someone else though but everytime I date someone, someone new comes into my life-he is the one that I dream about and these dreams have such a deep feeling as if he is with me all the time, till this day I sometimes talk to him but only trough messenger, I dont know what this means, but everytime i seem to have a new person in my life or my life is in trouble hes the one in my dreams. When we do speak I feel so great.

We met in 1991 its 2006 and I miss him so much, I havent seen him since 1999 and all I want is for me to just look at him again- please tell me what I shall do? I have told him once about the dreams -how hes always there and its always as if he wants to be with me or say he loves me and -everytime i do dream about him, i feel so happy calm and wonderful. What shall I do or what can you tell me what it means?
I need answers, suggestions...
The other wierd part is , I work where his mother works and it just feels as if I am getting closer to him somehow, she doesnt know that I care about him so much or that maybe I love him secretly, but when I told him , he seemed very intersted and told me to introduce myself to her, and he asks about me.
When I said no to him -when he asked me to be with him- I wanted to be with him I was just still young, I never told him how i felt completely. Please help me, what shall I do

this is true love my dear. the clues are right in the paragraph you have written out. if it seems like this man is the right person for you, why don't you go for a lunch date and catch up a little. hang out with him and invite him to parties or for a little movie night at your house. i wouldn't jump in and tell him everything how you feel, but gently tell him how you have been thinking about him alot lately and that you had a couple dreams about it. don't tell him too much information because that could make him back off a bit. and with this other person that you're with, if i were you, i woudln't be with someone that i don't have such feelings for like this man you are in love with. i think you will soon come to know what to do in the future.

Tough one but I'll give it a shot either way. The feelings that you have for this lost friend must go deeper than what you expect. If you feel confused about not being with him, then why put yourself through this when you know you like him? You like him and he liked you at one point, Im betting that he still has feelings for you but is afraid of being let down again. I say if you feel like there's a connection even after these years...don't even think about it...just go after him. or else you'll be playing that "I wonder what would have happened" game. And you dont want to do that. If you feel it in your heart, just go for him...

talk to this man and tell him exactly what you said here. this sounds like love to me so why not go after it....you're already friends and so what, you rejected him when you were too young...now you're older and wiser and it sounds like you have little to lose and everythng to gain... you're obssesed. It couldnt be love. you're going thru whats called 'what could have been' symptoms. Its where you wonder what it would have been like if you had agreed. Just move on with life. Or if its possible then get together with him.

Talk to him first -- maybe you are missing a factor of that relationship -- the one that got away, but if he doesn't know you are thinking of him, you'll never know how he feels or if he misses you as well. COMMUNICATE WITH HIM, then decide what you want...
