The Law of Averages. Most people are so-so. Some are very nice and a pleasure to know. Some are scum-bags, having low or no moral values. It's impossible to tell any of these apart without getting to know them. There really isn't the time to get to know them, in my line of work. So I keep myself on guard at all times. I am recovering from paranoid schizophrenia after years and years of being under attack and never knowing who or when the attack would originate. I got worked over, triumphed, and now live in a place where I can, generally, assume that I'm safe, but I'm not about to go walking around unprotected. Only a fool trusts in the decency of complete strangers. I think one of the Eddas or was it the Rules of Living? says to stay prepared because you never know when you will run into someone out to harm you. I'm not making any friends this way, but I wasn't out to do that anyhow. Just dont' f*ck with me and we'll be fine.

I hope to think that they are good, warm, caring of others. If I find that they did treat people the way they should then I proably would not associate with them any longer. Thats just me. I am sure not everyone feels this way.
What do you think of others?
