I was thinking of getting an iPod Video sometime soon hopefully. I have been reading all kinds of reviews about how to put DVD movies, music videos, etc. onto the iPod. Some people have said to use the program PSP Video 9 to put videos on the iPod and some say to use the program Videora. Which one of them should I use or which one do you think would work best? I really need all your help so get back to me ASAP. Anything you have to say that could help me with this will be greatly appreciated.

here is the easiest way to put dvds onto your ipod:

step 1.
go to this web address (do not include the spaces):
www .xilisoft. com /downloads /x-dvd-to-ipod-converter .exe
and download the xilisoft software.

step 2.
install it on your computer.

step 3.
unlock the program by opening it, going to the help tab and entering the following registration code (do not include the spaces):
F71DC344F73424E44D8538B9- 56E7 -92E2- 5D6D

(I have to put spaces in the links and registration code because yahoo will block this type of info otherwise)

step 4.
insert the dvd into your computer (you must have a dvd-rom drive on your computer to put it dvds on your ipod)

step5.
on the xilisoft application, select profile and select the appropriate ipod.

step 6.
click on the dvd button on the xilisoft screen and select your dvd drive as the source.

step 7.
select the destination by picking which folder you would like to save the video to.

step 8.
once all the information has been gathered from your dvd, click the red record button to start ripping the dvd. this will take several hours because it must also convert the files to mpeg4 format.

step 9.
once the dvd has been ripped, open the folder you set as the destination and select the files you wish to put onto your ipod, you may want to preview these files first by playing them with quicktime.

step 10.
drag and drop the selected video files into your itunes library or use itunes to add the files to your library.

step 11.
plug your ipod into your computer and put the videos onto your ipod!

good luck!

You will simply have to download a file converter. I went to www.download.com and they let you try out different programs for free. Type in the search box file converter and they will show u a lot of different file converters you can try out. I also went to www.m2convert.com and downloaded their free trial. It lasts for 15 days, but u can renew it i think twice. That program can also convert dvds so u can put your dvds on your ipod. Or you can go www.afterdawn.com and type in file converter in the search box. They have some free software on there that u can convert video files (not dvds) so that it is compatible with the video ipod. After u use the file converter, open the file in itunes, and use the itunes converter. Sometimes it will say that it is converted to the right format and sometimes it will re-convert the file so that it will be compatible with it. Make sure u use a file converter first then convert it in itunes. You will have download a DVD ripper, which is free on the internet. You can go to www.afterdawn.com and search for a DVD ripper. After you have ripped the movie off of the DVD, download a free program called Videora from www.videora.com This program will convert your movie file (or music video) to the correct format for your ipod. Then open the converted file up in iTunes and update your ipod. If you have anymore questions, just im me on yahoo messenger. I'm tooraw88 or you can email me at tooraw88@yahoo.com
