Not necessarily. There can be a number of reasons your period is late--usually stress at least 2 weeks *before* your period was due.

A woman ovulates about 2 weeks (generally 12-16 days) before her *next* period. It is the ovulation that *causes* the next period. So if you have some sort of stress before ovulation, it can delay ovulation, which, in turn, delays the next period. You *cannot* have a delayed period from stress the day before it is due.

Sometimes stress or just aging will cause you to miss ovulation entirely. Then you *won't* have a period. You may have bleeding around the time you would have had a period, but it is withdrawal bleeding or breakthrough bleeding--very different from menstruation in terms of the whole hormonal system. It may be heavier or ligher than a normal period, and it can be late or even very late.

Then again, pregnancy is possible. *All* forms of birth control are less than 100% effective (including abstinance). Withdrawal, for instance, has a 4-6% method failure rate (i.e. 4-6 out of 100 sexually active women will get pregnant in a year if they use the method perfectly), and a 27% *use* failure rate (on average, 27 women out of 100 will get pregnant when using the method--21-23 of them because the man didn't get the timing right).

I don't get the date--16/04 2006 today is 6/06/2006---
get a brand name pregancy test at your local drug store. One with an extra test included would be good. If test positive using your first urine in the morning after waking
your are very very likely pregnant. Also if being careful using the "pull out" method--it doesn't work. Some sperm have already started swimming up before he pulls out!

Being that April 16 was your last period, and it is now June I would definately go get a preg test or make an appointment with your gyno!

Its very possible...probable even. But, the only way to be sure is to get a pregnancy test. Either from a doctor, or a home test. Good luck, and I hope you get the result you want!

what do you mean by "very careful" becasue unless you used an actually form of birth control-the pill, condoms or anything else you were not carefull at all, and im hopeing you didnt use the pull-out method becasue that doenst work.
