see acc. to physics theory sound cannot travel in vaccum so space astranauts need to use radio waves in the form of wireless phones to communicate with each other, acc to u they r able to listen to each other without radio waves then there must be some other and developed device through which they can communicate.but without any such i disagree with u, they cannot communicate.u must be having som wrong information. check it out dear

To correct a previous answerer, yes radio do travel through a vacuum, ALL forms of electromagnetic radiation travel through a vacuum. Did the Apollo missions trail a piece of wire all the way to the moon?!?!? Has Voyager been trailing a piece of wire through the solar system?
The simplest ways to communicate in space would be through hand signals, another way that will work is by touching helmet visors. Since the sound of one voice vibrates one visor and those vibrations can be passed to the other visor.

They'd have to be in physical contact. With speach and sound being the result of waves or vibrations traveling through air, the only way to communicate without radios would be to allow the air inside the spacesuit to conduct the sound waves by contact. (most effectively by touching faceplates.

They are using a wired communication system, since there is no air in space, radio will not work in space.
