Honestly speaking, as a daughter and as a mother, i think that the only think parents can do is advise, they should always make it clear to the child that it is up to the child to figure out whats best. That way the child grows up learning things the hard way and thats the best way of learning! And one grows up independant.

Some choices you make you should follow through, if it's something positive and constructive and your passionate about it. So I'm not talking about the choice of whether you should go to jennies sleep over or not, or whether you think chemistry class is really necessary. Your parents are only trying to protect you from making mistakes you might regret or danger. Trust me, they don't sit in their secret caves conjuring up ways to destroy your life. Usually when they are acting all crazy and what seems to you as unreasonable...they are usually just scared out of their minds for you. I only truly realized that when I moved away...So I'm telling you what makes them act all weird...even though you're still gonna dismiss it cause it's coming from an older person...lol

Well that depends on how old you are,,if you're still a kid (or act like one) It's your parents job to tell you whats right and wrong,,but if you're an adult (or you act like one) Then you can do "some" things without being directed by your parents and if they still don't think that you're old enough to make decisions by your self try talking to them and telling them that you are old enough to make your own choices..

You seem like a young kid angry at this world. I wouldn't say it's necessary; but until you're capable of fending for yourself and making pertinent decisions, it's important. Enjoy this phase of life where love and concern is showered on you unconditionally; you're gonna miss it once your folks are gone.
Your own choices would probably be very stupid, not to mention infantile, in your parents' eyes. Besides, parents know best. At least most of them do.

they really are looking out to protect you from any danjor or problems. The problems may not be so visible to you but may be they arise in long term it is for your best interests. everybody has a free will, but if you dont want to follow them, you may learn the hard way that parents are trying to protect you from. It's their love for you and care for you making them to guide u .

if you have trust in your parents or your superiors, you have to obey them or discuss with them if you have different opinion, but it is difficult to do this obey parents/ guardians at some point. Cant help
U have to be calculative in your moves. Better to talk to parents and try to agree them with you or else you agree with them :)

they really are looking out for your best interests. everybody has a free will, but if you disobey them, you will learn the hard way that they were protecting you from harm. that's their job.

if you have any respect for your parents or your superiors, you will obey them, but it is pretty much a given that every pre-teen, and teenager will disobey their parents/ guardians at some point.

just think before you act.

Your parents usually have your best interest in mind when they prevent you from doing something. You will appreciate them when you are older and have you own children.
