Love is the greatest mystery of all the ages. One word in 10,000 pages. Love is always like a miracle; that is why heartbreak is so painful. Love has a life of its own. It is equally important to bestow love as to receive it. Love is what makes life bearable. Love is an untapped reservoir of purity, all the more surprising because of the self discovery of those feelings. Feelings people often believe that never again will they be capable of. While each person usually thinks that their love is the strongest there is, individually, it can not be so. If you fill a glass of water to the brim, then that is all that the glass can hold; likewise, if you fill a thimble it could only hold so much, and no matter how much you want it to be able to hold more, it just can't. Love really is all around us. I would guess we often pass by heavens door without ever knowing. Yet once in awhile we get a glimpse. Lastly, love is not like piece of pie, when giving one slice away leaves you with less, actually it somehow leaves us with even more. Passion is harmones. Harmones could be like a raging fire. Love is the glowing ember that sustains a more comfortable warmth after the flames have gone. Isn't it odd how the word "harmones" is so close to the word "harmony'?

LOVE is the best feeling in the world. To love someone and to have someone love you back is the most natural high known to man. It's a kind of buzz that makes every bad thing about life seem small and meaningless. I don't think love has anything to do with hormones. Love isn't a chemical reaction within the body, but love does stimulate hormones. Such as an increase in heart rate when you see your loved one... that type of thing.

Hey! Why do you worry about harmones?
Love is necessary and natural.
Start loving some one and see the reaction.

A minister of the church once said about love. "You see to people man and woman walking down the path at the park. They are holding hands and kissing, talking looking into each other eyes and having a good time. He said that is LOVE. when they return the are not holding hands and kissing, talking or looking into each other eyes. they don't even Like each other now. then that is called Hell.... now go figure

Love is what you feel when you intentionally stimulate life.
It's not a consequence of hormones, but the contrary. You will produce hormones that will make feel good when you experiment love.
Just try it from that perspective, with a plant, for example, and you will know what I'm talking about.

According to Robert Sternberg's research, "Love" is an emotion consisting of three components: intimacy, passion & committment.
Intimacy, the feeling close and connected to someone (developed through sharing and very good communications over time). Intimacy is what makes you want to share and offer emotional and material support to each other.
-Intimacy alone is Liking (true friendship without passion or long-term commitment)
Passion, the feeling physically aroused and attracted to someone. Passion is what makes you feel "in love" and is the feeling most associated with love. It also rises quickly and strongly influences and biases your judgment.
-Passion alone is Infatuation (passionate, obsessive love at first sight without intimacy or commitment)
Commitment, pledging to your self and each other to strengthen the feelings of love and to actively maintain the relationship. Commitment is what makes you want to be serious, have a serious relationship and promise to be there for the other person if things get tough.
-Commitment alone is Empty Love (decision to love another without intimacy or passion)
Romantic Love: Intimacy & Passion, no Commitment
-Lovers physically and emotionally attracted to each other but without commitment
-“As in a summer romance”
Companionate Love: Intimacy & Commitment, but no Passion
-Long-term committed friendships or a marriage in which the passion has faded
-I love you but I’m not IN love with you
Fatuous Love: Passion & Commitment, but no Intimacy
-Commitment based on passion with without time for intimacy to develop
-Shallow relationship such as a whirlwind courtship
Consummate Love: A complete love consisting of all three components
