There should be a dot on the top of the ampule where you put your finger. Grasp it here with your thumb over the dot. Hold the body of the ampule with your other hand below the neck. Then snap the neck. Some people like to use a paper towel or a small guaze to keep the broken fragments from cutting there fingers (personal experience).

It depends on what kind of ampules and what result you want to have!
For example, if they are ampules with explosives and want to push your enemies back, ....
If they are ampules with medicine, what people wrote before, ...
If caviar is considered (as they are) the ampules under question, you squeeze them in your mouth, ...
Etc.

A small metal blade( called file) is always supplied with each ampoule.The tip of ampoule is scrapped with the blade and the tip can be broken.

don't break them...use something to slice the neck first and then try to open them...if you try to break them without the slicing they'll probable break into pieces in your hand and you could cut yourself...
