just wait for it... don't rush it...don't tell him also about it...you will be too pushy and as you said your shy can you directly say to him "i want to have sex now." if you can then say it... if not.. just let him see that you are ready for it. make him see that you are ready for sex when you will be kissing each other... you will know... just don't rush it

Firstly, use protection to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
From what u say, ure still a virgin. So make sure that u make it special and are sure that he is the one that you would like to sleep with. Dont feel obligated to sleep with him just cos he waited this long.
If he's waited for this long...he should be commended. Thats gr8 commitment.
You shouldnt think of it as a reminder, but more of it now being ure turn to make a move. Plan a night when the two of u are free and will have the night without interuption.
Start with light petting and kisses and go with the flow. If he stops and says, we are getting caried away, then asure him and say, "i'm ready", i need you now, and he will know that tonight is the night, when the stars will shine down on u two.
