It seems like for the last week I have had pain on my cervix, like he is pushing down. Im 39 wks now, and last week I was 80% effaced and 2cm dilated and dropped. But this pain sucks big time! Does this mean labor is close, has anyone else had this pain?

Does it feel like its, kind of pushing out your butt and Vagina? it sounds very normal. the last few weeks it feels like everything is about to fall out and the pressure makes it much worse! your 39 wks so your close all ready! but as far as labor you will know when your contractions are about 3-5 min apart and some times your mucus plug falls out. If you stimulate your nipples either by massaging them or with a breast pump it can help speed things up, when you do this you will start to have contractions after a while. also sperm helps ALOT! these are things my Dr had me try! They worked for me! also of course walking always does the trick! maybe you can do all of those if your ready to have the baby,
Hope that helped
God bless you and your baby!!!

Most likely labor is close. and Yes I agree with the other person, who answered that sperm can speed up labor. also, it could be braxton-hicks contractions too. If you want to help speed up the process, walking and when your Hungary only eat things you can see threw, will help. when you eat something that is heavy, it will make your contractions stop, causing you to stay pregnant longer.
Good luck to you, I hope you have a great text book delivery.

its probably juststrong braxton hicks contractions, or the baby rubbing against your pelvis. eitherway, it won't be long. if the pains come regularly, time them and when they get to be about 5 minutes apart, go to the hospital.
