Oh, I'm sorry, I am talking about an Overhead Projector, that has those clear sheets to project images onto a bigger surface which is usually a blind of some sort.

you sit down and face the class, and the projecter projects the material you're teaching over your head on the board or whatever that's behind you. that's why.

Overhead is called overhead simpl because it is Over your head. And that, my firend, spells as Trouble.

I would say because the thing that projects the image is 'overhead' of the lightsource.

be a little more specific. there are multiple usages for the word overhead and it even has 2 pronunciations. are you talking about finance? watercraft? lighting? automotive parts? sports? projectors?
