I would be more optimistic - and say humans came into being around the 3rd week of November !

The "Universal Year" was a teaching tool developed by Carl Sagan for the "Cosmos" television program.

It is a briefer time than 10 minutes. Here, let me explain:

Estimated age of the Universe based on astrophysical data:
13.7 billion years

Estimated age of the homo sapiens species based on physical anthropological data:
195,000 years

So really, you've been around about a minute, friends.

Think 11:59p.m.

it depends on what you mean, the here and now it would be the last 10 minutes, but this has all happend before. The unierse rotates, just as time. All of this has happened before and will happen again so we would be like the rest periods on a piece of music, we appear for a short while then you won't see us until the next chorus

I think it was Carl Sagan who said that human existance would be in the last 30 seconds of December 31. Not a big legacy, is it?

The universe is considered (by star dating) to be 12.5 billion years old.

"man" first appeared around 10,000 years ago.

So it would be .00000112 of one year. You do the math, I'm tired.
