how can I delete names that pop up in the email-adrespart (to:)?

I work with Apple G4, so is it a hardware solution or a Yahoo solution?

I'm assuming you're talking about web-mail. You need to clear your AutoFill forms on your web browser.

If you're using Safari, here's how:

go to Safari > Preferences
click on the Autofill tab
click the edit button across "other forms"
select all the yahoo sites(mail.yahoo.com) and click delete OR
click delete all

If you're using a POP mail program like Mail or Entourage, just uncheck the auto complete address option.
