i dont really mind a vocalist to have a limited range, often they seem to present themselves better to me than all that drama and dio crap.

Alot of people knock singers for their lyrics, I like the vocal sounds of Anastacia, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, they have this sound that can just go on and on and the range that these three have bring so much more to those songs that you hold close to yourself, i'd read the lyrics to Anastacia's "Paid My Dues" then downlaod it, it has a bigger impact than your first time listening, and Mariah Carey's "Circles". I also like how easily notes roll out of the mouths of Faith Hill, Martina McBride, LeAnn Rimes, Cher, Rod Stewart, Ronan Keating, & Kcai Brown. Pure Talent All of them!

For Rock: I like a singer with good range from screaming to melodic singing to just talking really fast but you can understand him. If it's death metal I like high-pitched more than low-pitched. For Nu-Metal it's all about how you can stretch your voice. Amy Lee from Evanescence, Corey Taylor from Slipknot, Alexi Laiho from Children Of Bodom, Randy Blythe from Lamb Of God and tthe guy from Mudvayne are all good examples of good vocalists of metal, emo and rock in general

For Rap: I like a good voice that can actually change a little bit so you can tell the difference between the songs. He has to have a pretty good singing voice too so that he can you know sing the chorus. His voice can be deep or high it doesn't matter since they're usually just talking anyway. ICP, Nelly, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Three Six Mafia are good example of hip-hop vocalists.

For Pop: Usually, for girls they have to have melodic vocals that can change from high to low pitch but still appeal to 10-year old girls. It really depends on what the singer is singing , if it's Anastacia who sings with a kind of low but melodic voice singing "Sick and Tired" or if it's Shakira's braying accent that just is so good in "La Tortura". For dudes who sing pop, they usually have high voices and not much range, that's why they are singing pop. I don't care much for pop music but some of my favorites are Shakira, that Rihanna chick, PCD, I hate all dudes that sing pop since that just isn't right.

Well I love to sing and when I do I have to have a medium high range! Ohh... and when I sing I HAVE to wear a TON of lip gloss... just so the audience will be sure to see my gorgeous lips!
