Been there, done that! The only encouragement I have is to take one day at a time. If you feel good one day, DO NOT overdo it. Will you be having corrective surgery or a laminectomy? If not, ask your doctor to refer you to a GOOD spine specialist or physical therapist. I, too, tried a chiropractor, which worked for awhile. This was 12 years ago and now I am having the same pain on the other side of my body. I am hoping it's not a disc problem again and just something that can be easily corrected. I highly beleive in chiropractic care and relaxation therapy. Good luck!

It will heal in time. I was also in an accident & broke L1, L3 & L4. Truck slammed into the rear of our car pinning me into the back of the front seat. Smashed the trunk clear through into my back. Time & rest will heal your back.
Be grateful the damage wasn't worse.
