It depends on why that person is mad at you.
A) If it was your fault, a sincere apology is the most appropriate way to diffuse their anger. Talk to the person in a manner that will not worsen the situation. Most of the times, saying the right things will make a lot of difference and makes the other person to think rationally.
B) If it is not your fault, then you should take a stand and make it clear that their anger has no ground and they should back off.
C) Finally, if the person is unreasonable you are better of walking away instead of confronting. Your non-verbal gestures will be more effective in this case.

To be honest, I hate it. I mean I might not act like I care, but I do. So if someone is mad at me and I know the reason why they ar mad, then I try to fix. I usually tend to give them space, I hate dealing with mad people.

Love them.
Be sincerely compassionate in trying to understand them, and know that you aren't capable of making anyone feel anyway. It is a choice. Listen intently and don't take anything personally as the current issue is just about never the real issue. In listening the real issue will reveal itself.

Nothing. It basically has nothing to do with you, only them. You are in charge of you. The other person is in charge of him/her self. You are not in charge of anyone else's feelings, only your own. If they ask and you feel it's necessary, you can let them know that you are sorry that they feel that way. Anger at another person is as pointless as being angry at a rock or a chair; a waste of energy.

apologize if you know you've done something wrong. or try talking to that person, you might have offended him in some ways you didn't know. if he doesn't accept your apology, so be it. at least, you've done your part.
