A friend of mine recently broke up with a girl he had been seeing. Following this had a pregnancy scare. Once they discovered that this was only a scare she got upset because she thought that the baby would finally be someone to love her for who she is.
I completely disagree with her reasons for wanting the child. Unfortunately me saying something would only think I am being nasty. Therefore I thought I'd pose the question to everyone for some unbiased views of the situation

yes somehow it is..then again many people do have a baby to not stay alone in life. at the end when they have not gotten married and not plan on doing so anymore they decide having a baby...to fulfill that need on their own..

Yes, it is to some degree. the thing is - in my personal opinion - you can make your child love you. I mean, the child won't stay with you forever, and you will be disappointed. Just forget about this reason. Baby is a blessing! Have a baby so YOU can love the baby, but do not expect love in return. Sometimes kids scream: I hate you! You ruined my life! etc. Yeap, that happens. Just be a parent. Be wise. If you will count on absolute love of your child, you will be hurt and disappointed. Good luck!

I think you already know the answer since you asked the question.
YES. You need to figure out the roots of the problems you've experienced in your relationships with men as well as your own low self-esteem. A baby can fill a void, but is also a huge responsibility and a 24/7 job, with even less time for you to take care of yourself. Figure yourself out first, and leave the big decisions until later.

It's not only the wrong reason it's no reason. Having a baby is not like getting your hair done or buying shoes. You are creating a life that must accept the situation they did not ask to be in.

It is definitely the wrong reason. No one will love you just because you have a baby with them. The child should be a product of love not the means of getting love.

yes because for example my sister got pregnant cause she thought that the boyfriend and her would life happily ever after but she was wrong because he already had 2 kids of his own now he has 3 kids all together and plus there very expenses to take care of they may be cute and cuddly in the day time but at night there the hardest to take care of you just want to pull your hair out of your head.(lol)!!!

yes because when you first have a baby that baby don't know love it does not love you. it can not feel love at two days old. you should not get pregnant just because you want someone to love you. i am sure someone loves you even if you don't know it.

Yes, he will pity you but won't love or respect you. He will help bring up the child but you are not his love, maybe someone else will.

yes it is wrong...you need to love yourself first b4 you can give real love...your future chld does not deserve the stress...women often forget they need to be emotionally ready to have a child b4 they have one
