There is a convicted gang rapist in gaol in Australia who was diagnosed with cancer. As a result, he was allowed to have his sperm frozen for the future in the event the cancer treatment renders him sterile. This service is fully government funded if you are a cancer patient but due to the fact that he is a convicted gang rapist, the government (after 2 years of paying for the service) has told him if he wants to keep his sperm frozen, he has to pay for it himself.
My real question is this: Do you think that a convicted rapist should have the rights to bear children?

Er, yes, but not on my dime. I think the government got it right on that one (really, really rare).
He want's to father a kid, let him pay to freeze the sperm.
Look at it this way, he is going to look pretty stupid chasing a woman around with a thawing test tube, isn't he?

No I dnt think so that he should have rights to have children cos he will not be able to give a better & secure future to his child & the child will not be given any respect in the society also .
Why should he bring someone on this earth if he cannot give any life & care to him.U think he should be allowed to give birth to a child just to make his kid suffer all his life with the guilt feeling that his father was a criminal .What respect that child will earn from the society.

My gut is screaming, no he shouldn't have that right, ever.
But, by the letter of the law, IF (and I'm stressing IF) he has payed his debt to society by spending the full X amount of years behind bars, and is now a free man, then yes he has the right to reproduce. As distasteful as that is and sounds.
Personally, I'd like to see a Lorena Bobbitt jump out of the forest one night, as he's driving along, and chop his *** off. But, that's just my opinion.

No, he should be locked in jail for the rest of his miserable life! No kids ever. Children are a blessing he doesn't deserve! Think of the kids he gang raped.

this is what happend if the society don't start educated our kid in moral way, instead we just let them basically do whatever they want, if that happen in china, u bet that gang probably been shoot official less than a week and send their parent the bill for bullet.
