1. (not really the greatest thing i have ever learned, but i gotta comment on this). People can be cruel. reading the above posts attacking 'butterflysista' for a simple spelling mistake is evidence enough for this. Honestly people, you understood what she meant, why belittle a simple mistake? (besides the obvious 'point whoring' that is so prevalent on Yahoo Answers).
2. (the actual greatest thing i have ever learned). There is no such thing as a universal "right" or "wrong" action. across cultures, or time, what is considered 'right' and 'wrong' is highly malleable and constantly changing. There may be 'right' and 'wrong' actions in specific instances, but in the exact same instance later on in time (or in the past) the "right" thing may be different.
Objectivity is key. One must learn to 'remove' themselves from problems they face in order to see all possible perspectives.

I have learnt that American spelling is not the only spelling.
I have also learnt that all people are people first and different second (by a long way). We have far more in common with other people than they are different to us.

That I can imagine. That there are more than one thing that could be called "the greatest", and that it's a combination of my findings that contribute to my being. It would be similar to the question that asks if a scientist is more valuable to society than a carpenter -- knowing society wouldn't be one without the other.
"Have Imagination and Flexibility."

Darkness isn't necessarily evil and is a source of empowerment. Everyone has a dark side, and our culture wants to ignore and reject it, but you need to confront what is there to be whole.
