He's from France, played amongst other teams for Italian team Juventus and won the European Champions Cup in 1985. He was the big star for France when they won the European Championship in 1984, which was held in France. Very famous for his excellent free kicks.
He was also a controverial player in the 1978 World Cup when he wrote a letter to the Argentinian government to release French citizens who had disappeared in Argentina. Suddenly they resurfaced.
Currently he's a football official I think working for Uefa / Fifa. Apparantly he's also a very nice person.
