Yea, that's how to clear it.

If you don't want to store the addresses in the first place, then on the "Internet Options" menu, change the "Days to keep pages in history" option to "0".

If you are using IE, you should click on the Tools Menu>Internet Options>General Tab - Clear History.

For Mozilla Firefox, Tools Menu>Clear Private Data>Browsing History> click on the clear history...

right click on internet explorer->proprities->settings->viewfiles->selectall->delete
