i have a home computer instead of a laptop and i want to get wireless internet. I am not sure what to get to get started. i just bought a router and an adapter by linksys. I also have satellite through dish network. can you help me in getting started?

do you mean to connect to the internet wirelessly or to get wireless internet???
if you want to connect to internet wirelessly then try this. this works on broadband so i don't know if it will work on satellite.
Connect router to modem and set router to send wireless signals, then install wireless network card then search for access points and connect to your access point...

It should tell you in the manual. Do you have high speed internet from Dish Network? I honestly didn't know they had. I know how to do it if you have a modem. I don't know anything about Dish Network though. I have internet through cable and it's easy installing a wireless connection through this system.
