It seem so bizarre that people like bad. Women love abusive men, men are attracted to slutty women, and Satanic gimmicks make people like Marylin Manson famous.

I think part of it's the danger/risk factor. Though if that's the case, I dunno why they don't all go skydiving or something instead.
With some things there's rebellion too, but that goes back to the danger/risk thing anyway.
And some people just like having a lot of drama in their lives. Look at how popular soap operas are.

Because evil is powerful. Evil is a "cause" that sits in our sub-conscience mind just like God ("cause") does.
Instead of being an "effect," and receptive to both, if we could become our own "cause" and pick our own, we would play on our own turf and call the shots. We would use the Almighty to boost our cause, if needed, but we would call the shots.
That seems to be a better option than relying on God to save us from the evil.

Listen, idiot, you mind if I call you idiot? Okay idiot, people are people and somewhere along the line some nasty desert slaves come to call people "Evil" and "sinners". But we aren't. Then for thousands of years "civilization" (what a joke) burns people alive, makes the "priest" the ideal man, has innumerable wars to "Cleanse" the Holy Roman Empire of the EVIL there. People are abusive today, idiot, because of REPRESSION. Because sexuality is "Evil". Manson is attractive because he stands for humanity, for people, for us. When you're oppressed all your life by your "evil" sinful desires you're forced to question WHO in their right minds are making that judgment? YOU ARE. If anybody's EVIL, it's the IDIOTS that continue to believe it EXISTS.

Curiousity-Temptation-Adrenaline.
The magic of it lures us in. It is exciting and makes us feel alive. The adrenaline rush becomes addicting and even when you know you shouldn't, you still are drawn to it thinking that you can experiment and explore and still be in control...first mistake-because it had control from the first moment you gave in to it.

satan has made evil look very attractive and secretive.I used to be attracted to it myself but saw that it was a ruse.

sex is easy to get. having a party and getting sex, that would be my reason.as long as they stayed away during the day time.I think they use santan to scare off the timid.
