It'll take a lot to pass it into law, but with courts all over defining marriage as they so please, we may have no choice but to pass this ammendment.

as far as passing soon i can hope but i doubt it will it is a union like anyother. and if people are happy why not let them have peice of paper. it will change nothing in there lives. Gay people both male and female wear rings and have ceremony's just like strait people do the only thing that is missing is one person getting to change there name (easily) and that paper. i say let it pass if for no other reason its not going to keep them from doing what they want to. america is the land of choices and if they are going to "stay gay" let them be the way they are! who are we to talk away someones freedom!!!!!!!!! That violates our consitutional right.

And about the guy that said why not blacks were not allowed to marry.... uhmm your a dumb ****. blacks could marry just not out of their "kind" instead they were allowed to marry and breed so farmers could have more people to tourcher, rape and humiliate. they were not allowed to read or vote or drink out the white mans water fountains but they could marry. (in a christen ceremony) but thats yet another thing that christians have forced upon people.... and a whole other topic.....
