depend on hte law and system in your country.

Curretnly in australia, the rule is, if your occupation is covered by an industry award or agreement, and that particular award or agreement provide the double rate on publis holidays, you should be paid double, but if it doesn't provide so, or your occupation is not covered by any award or agreement, you don't get paid double.

Check with your local work relations authority for more information

Yes, I think you do get double if you work on any official holiday.

yes almost double, because you usualy have the choice to take the day off, but if you decide to work, then you get paid, but only big company's offer those benefits, check with your company if they offer those benefits
