I adore many MANY scenes from the movie 'Once Upon a Time in America'. The entire movie is so cinematically beautiful. One of my favorite scenes is when De Niro's character, Noodles, (as an old man) peers through the hole in the wall and then it transitions into him as a child looking through the hole, spying on Deborah as she practices her ballet to that hauntingly beautiful music. The music score of this movie is especially awesome, it evokes so much emotion.

I also like the shoot-out scene that takes place after the bank robbery in the movie Heat. ;)

Best scene in an action: The Matrix - lobby shoot-up scene

Best scene in a drama: Stallag 17 - when Septon exposes Price and gets him tossed out to be shot by the Nazis

Best scene in a comedy: Hmmmmm... this one's tough... probably The Royal Tenenbaums - Eli and Richie sitting around Eli's apartment and having a nonsense conversation about Eli on drugs etc.

My favourite scene is in LOTR - The Two Towers when the banished soldiers return to Helm's deep with Gandalf and they ride their horses down a slope that's almost vertical towards the Urak Hai warriors and there is blast of light from Gandalf's staff just before impact. I feel like jumping off the couch and jumping into the battle along with them, it's that powerful.....I think you gotta watch it on the big screen though or a big telly. I doubt a small telly will do it justice.

Once upon a time in America, yes a good one.

I love the scene in Godfather, where Mike and the Don are talking about Mike's family, towards the end. It caps the entire movie

When Pyro roasts the Boston Police in the second x-men movie. Boston Police are trigger happy and got what they deserved. Definately a stand up and cheer scene.

It's from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring; when Frodo says that he will take the ring to Mordor. The look on the other characters faces is just heartbreaking.
