Your hardiness planting zone appears to be 9, which means that unless a plant NEEDS a certain amount of chill time, you should be able to grow just about anything you want, as long as you amend the soil to feed the plant properly. You might want to purchase a soil test kit from somewhere like Lowe's or W/M for about $8. Alternatively you can take soil samples to your local county extension agency.
