what do concept artists do in general?

do you think this is a good career choice? cause im thinking about this.....or i could go for graphic design, but im not sure....still stuck in a dilemma

In my opinion, concept artists give an example, of what the game creators want, to the game artists. Whether it be for enemies, buidlings, weapons, and so on. Sometimes the creators give them free reign to make whatever would be cool in a game.
