Yes, there should be gender roles. It is common sense that women are better at some things than men and men are better at some things than women. Being equal does not mean that men and women have to be identical. Celebrating both men and women for who they are recognizes that they have different roles to fulfill in relationships. That doesn't mean that women shouldn't ever work or that men can't help out in the kitchen. It does mean that if you want someone to tuck you in when you are sick you want mom and if you want someone to scare the monsters away you want dad.

I do not thing that there shouldn't be gender roles because all people are different. What might be good for one person is not good for the next person. I can understand why you would say that there should be gender roles, but this is not going to work for everyone. Example women can be look at as they need to be a house wife, but now a days there are a lot of men that are being house dads and the women are bring in the bread.

I'll agree with the idea that there are some things that men or women are generally better at. For example, women are generally better at raising children, and men are generally better at building houses.
However, not all women are better than all men at raising children, and vice versa. I think that rather than having people go into occupations that fit their gender, they should strive to find an occupation that they are good at as an individual. For example, right now I'm going to school to get a degree in mathematics, although I am female. Not to be conceited, but I know that I am not inferior to every man in my math and science skills. On the other hand, I'm sure that there are men out there who could raise children better than I could.
In short, there will always be things that in general are done better by one sex or the other, but I don't think that should be a factor in an individual's choice for a career, and I don't think there should be external limits on which gender can get into which occupation. The only acceptable limits are the limits of the individual's talents and skills.

Males and females are equal but different.Apart from the usual points like education, jobs, sharing domestic chores and religious teachings there are strictly "scientific"differences not decided by "human class room debate".1)Women tolerate more stress and physical pain 2)Women can express more with their eyes, gestures and physionomy.3)Women`s voice is high pitched (higher frequency not loudness)and so even their commands sound like loving advices.4)Women are very much less addicted to smoking, alcohol, drugs etc.5)From childhood to old age all stages of women`s growth, development and mile stones are recognised by a specific date and time.and 6)Women can have names like Grace,Mercy ,Sweety, etc.

Earliest division of labor was by sex. It makes perfect sense because men can't nurse babies. That is one task that women must do. So women have to stay close to babies. Which means it makes sense for them to take more responsibility for young children. What will men do to balance this?
