Any hobby can require a significant amount of time or money. However, since it is usual something that is highly enjoyed, the time or the money is usually no object.
I love to shoot pool and have spent a good deal of time, but not so much money having fun with it. There should be a good balance on the investment and return.

I'm a scrapbooker too (and rubber stamper) and yeah, it can take a lot of money, especially if you happen to be a paper addict (like me) and love to buy all kinds of supplies and tools. But like with any hobby, you can also look into making money out of it too. That's what I did so now I'm actually making a profit. But time? Need more time which is why I'm going to start doing more digital scrapping.

I collect coins - I buy a big dollar coin once a month, about 300 dollars or so - I don't spend very much time on it. I ended my childhood hobby of magic card collecting last month and sold my collection on ebay for 2,400 dollars and I miss the cards dearly.

I play the hammered dulcimer.
It costed a lot of money to start with, because I had to buy the instrument.
After that it takes a lot of time to practice.

My hobby is scrapbooking and it can take up alot of time, depending on how much time you want to spend working on your albums. It can be expensive, that depends on what you choose to put on your pages to embellish them.

My husband and I mudbog alot and it does require time and money. We have our own mudtrucks and they require alot of maintenance. We also have to buy food and alcoholic beverages to bring to mudbog. Its worth it though. Very Fun!
