Why are we here? What's life all about?
Is God really real, or is there some doubt?
Well, tonight, we're going to sort it all out,
For, tonight, it's 'The Meaning of Life'.
What's the point of all this hoax?
Is it the chicken and the egg time? Are we just yolks?
Or, perhaps, we're just one of God's little jokes.
Well, ça c'est 'The Meaning of Life'.
Is life just a game where we make up the rules
While we're searching for something to say,
Or are we just simply spiralling coils
Of self-replicating DN-- nay, nay, nay, nay, nay, nay, nay.
What is life? What is our fate?
Is there a Heaven and Hell? Do we reincarnate?
Is mankind evolving, or is it too late?
Well, tonight, here's 'The Meaning of Life'.
For millions, this 'life' is a sad vale of tears,
Sitting 'round with really nothing to say
While the scientists say we're just simply spiralling coils
Of self-replicating DN-- nay, nay, nay, nay, nay, nay, nay.
So, just why-- why are we here,
And just what-- what-- what-- what do we fear?
Well, ce soir, for a change, it will all be made clear,
For this is 'The Meaning of Life'. C'est le sens de la vie.
This is 'The Meaning of Life'.

80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducting crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

The meaning of life is to survive to pass your genes. It's the reason anything is alive. Those creatures that are not fit for survival and passing their genes are extinct.
Even if you don't want children this principle holds true because your genes are spread throughout a large section of humanity not just parent to child. Think of all your aunts, uncles, cousins. Think of the people that are related in some way to your great great great great great grandparents that you don't even know about. Now back that up till the beginning of humanity. The same genes in you are in sense in everyone; connecting all of us together as a species.
So we inherently want to a. survive and b. make sure our genes will thrive. Do what you can to make this world a better place so your genes have everything within your control going in their favor.
If you are a garbage man, be the best garbage man you can be. If you are a student, learn as much as you can so you can apply your special abilities outside the classroom in practical situations. Whatever you are play your role to the best of your ability until you get a new one.
And try to have fun. It makes it easier to be excellent at what you do which in turn will help your genes to thrive.

I think that every person has a different meaning. Everybody has a different purpose. Some people have huge purposes, like to explore space, or to invent new technologies. Other people have humbler purposes, like to make their kids great sandwiches every day or lunch, or to make their spouses smile when they're having a bad day. Most people probably don't know what their purpose is. But to tell the truth, that is probably a good thing. It's not important to know what the meaning of life is, or what your purpose is in this world... What IS important is that you live you life, and know that you DO have a purpose, no matter big nor small.

I wrote this along time ago
In this day and age many people don't believe In God. but some people are so sure that there is a God that they lose touch with reality.
I used to question the existence of God. I've wondered where God is? but If you think about it If you really knew If there was a God,
I mean If you had absolute proof wouldn't that take away all the mystery of life? would you really need faith? for example what if you had no proof
of your existence? would people still believe you are there? would people still talk to you? can we really prove that we exist? Existence is a perception it's how you see the world around you.
like how a scientist looks at microscopic life in a microscope or how a xray takes a view of your bones faith is like a x-ray it see's without sight.
Someone once told me reality is tied to are senses. what you can see, touch, taste and smell are state of reality also depend's also what we think a point of view. I think there for I am.
String theory for example look it up. Its pretty interesting there are more dimensions of reality then what we can see with are eyes.
Then who can say there isn't a God?
I think the answer's are in the heavens. space is the biggest proof of a God. whether we came from ape's or we came from dust who can really say.
who are we to say how God created us? even Darwin believed in God later in his life. so did Einstein
If I had answer's to these questions I wouldn't be searching. But I still wonder if I really exist? or if i was created? or evolved. noone seems to have
proof. the search for truth is a inward search the search for proof is a outward search.
I think we all fell short of the glory of God. And I'm not saying the bible is wrong. but the search for truth is my only concern.
I also think we are proof of a God. scientist's, artist's, philosophers, poet's, musician's, teacher's,
The search of God is the Origin of life and existence. what people are looking for is Hope, And there ready to believe anyone with a answer.

For some, it would be that the alternative, death, is a frightening unknown. For ME, I am inspired every day of my life by someONE or someTHING. Some days I inspire myself. My life is precious to me. Every day that I live I have another opportunity to "get it right." Have a wonderful life, friend.

I am not sure how many times I can post 42 before it starts getting old. I think it is 42 times.
To see the rest of the adventure. To experience everything you can.
Actually, it was a good line in Hook.
Peter Pan "To die would be a great adventure"
Hook "It is the only adventure you have left".

I don't know about everyone else in this world but for me I live to glorify God and to do every good work that He has planned in advance for me to do...
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
....because I'm looking forward to that Day when I'll hear Jesus say...
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Matthew 25:21
...because as it is written...
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 1 Corinthians 3:11-15
