I'm sick and tired of all these lying politicians that claim to be pro-God, pro-family, and pro-troops, but couldn't be further from the truth. Just look at Bush's own family, they're a decadent mess! His actions speak louder than words. Despite his promises, he's done nothing to strengthen American families, nothing to overturn Roe vs. Wade, nothing to fight and reduce crime, nothing to get rid of racist practices like affirmative action. As governor in Texas, he sentenced innocent people to death which is one of the least christian things anyone can do. To top it off he's trashing God's planet, and allowing people to continue to die in Iraq. I'm sick of all these lying Republicans. The only difference between the two parties today is that Republicans claim to have moral values but don't and Democrats don't even bother to claim so. They're all sleazy and corrupt, at least the ones in office. If there's any that aren't and are a future hope to morally improve our nation, please tell.

Congressman Ted Poe (R) Humble,Tx is about as true as you can get. When he was a judge, I used to go sit in his courtroom and watch. They used to call him the "hanging judge" because he didnt take any garbage. But if you sat and watched enough of his cases, you got to realize that he would always try to get the criminals to straghten up their act and start a better life.

John Ashcroft WAS one, but he is no longer in office. Oklahoma's J. C. Watts was one, but he too is no longer in office. Those I've known personally and they live their talk. Still, some of what you are saying is exaggeration. Bush isn't trashing the planet any more than you or me, and if we are, then we can't fuss too much about him. As for people dying in Iraq, you forget that for a place where Al Quida had no presence they are certainly busy there--mostly killing Iraqis. Interestingly, they are killing the same kinds of people that Saddam used to slaughter by the thousands. Fascinating how we hear of some of our troops killing a few civilians in a couple of places but Iraq is full of mass graves where Saddam did his Stalin thing and killed off those he found disagreeable on a wholesale plan.

Interesting, when George H. W. Bush was in office we gave him grief over two supposed lies. One was that there would be "read my lips, no new taxes"--but the Democrats used a little tax increase in trade for some other things that he wanted and suddenly that became a great lie. Failing, yes, trick, definitely, lie, definitely not because he was neither wanting nor intending to do it. Dealing with the devil (democrats) burned him. The other was over his involvement with an arms deal--there the former CIA head wasn't lying, he just wasn't saying. It was secret and he was keeping the secret (something a lot of folks in Washington seem to have a problem with today). Then we elected Bill Clinton instead, who could scarsely tell the truth twice. Instead of getting on to the Republican case, give a little more grief where it is due, to the Democrats.

As for the crime thing and George W Bush, he put Ashcroft in as Attorney General and if you will check the statistics he quietly led to some changes and improvements that did in fact reduce major crime in the country.

A conservative chrisitan would find it hard to go into office because as soon as you do you live in a fish bowl all your sins are put on the jumbotron for everone to see. Do you think you would fare any better living in the fishbowl? I know the press would rip anyone a new one. They don't care who you are.

Dude, pull your freakin' head out of the ground didn't you see he just proposed a bill to ban gay marriage? Believe it or not, Bush has other priorities right now.
