I just finished a semester of 4 computer classess and labs and I learned nothing that would suggest that. The only thing close to giving any type of emmmission has to do with the wireless technology, which uses either infrared, as is used in TV remotes are low frequency radio waves for wireless connections. I think you are safe. A few years ago a similar scare was spread among the nation's police agencies regarding hand held radars. It's quite routine for officers working radar using a hand held radar gun to lay the gun in his lap between traffic, still on. A scare spread that the radar frequencies emmitted signals that was causing testicular cancer. After many tests by many medical agencies, it was determined that that was not the source.

if some one hits you over the head with it maybe ,

i think cell phones are probably more dangerous ,but this is just a thought ,not an expert opinion.
