I've heard of a player in India who gets paid 2 rupees every day -- he must be the MOST paid player of all.

If,on the other hand, yopu want to know the BEST paid player in the world, that's Ronaldinho -- 32 million euros per annum. (Ignore the above answers that say differently -- they don't know what they are talking about.)

And -- it's not "soccer player" -- it's football player.

If you're talking earnings including wages and other earnings (such as sponsorships, advertising, etc) then it's probably Beckham.

On wages alone it could be a number of players. Ballack has recently signed for Chelsea and he's meant to be on about £130,000 a week.
