New Anime Watching Guy... i thought animes were crappy stuffs that nerds enjoy but some of them hold really nice plots and stories NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER
well so i seen Naruto<- which was good until the freakin fillers Bleach<- was cool though i'm not sure where it's goin now (i don;t read the manga Azumanga Daioh<- was okey with little here and there Ah! My Goddess<---I really liked it...i would say favorite watch it and see (i thought it would be wack but it cool, I would have never thought of anything like)

Full Metal Panic! (10- A very funny anime, with a lot of action. The main character is supposed to protect this one girl... he was raised in the military and has no social skill...
Kenshin (10) An idealistic guy who refuse to kill, but is the best swordsman ever!!!
Fruits Basket (10)- Funny anime, about a family under a curse. They turn into animals of the zodiac if they are hugged by the opposite sex.
Outlaw Star (8)- About a space bounty hunter, who "finds/given" a ship.
Escaflowne (7.5)- About a guy who is trying to save the world (in another world) with the help of a girl (guy has wings!)

Full Metal Alchemist (10) - Best anime in the world!! You gotta watch it
Bleach (8) - Cool story and funny characters (Strawberry)
Gensomaden Saiyuki (8) - The story is based on Journey to The West... Sanzo is cool
Chrono Crusade (7) - The Manga is short and the anime isn't as good as expected... but still good
One Piece (6) - Like Pirates? I don't like pirates... >_>
Gravitation (5) - Sorry Gravitation fans... shounen-ai isn't my type. Reason I watch the anime: the songs are cool
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle (8) - Kinda complicating... but still funny
D N Angel (7) - Shoujo fans would love this anime
Yu Yu Hakusho (8) - ^^ very cool

yea i'm a big cartoon fan and really hate crappy 1s.
my favorite anime at the current time is tenjou tenge.
it has lots of honor, fighting, and emotions packed into it. and i guess if you like quest of power animes this a good 1 to watch but i have no clue if it can be viewed speaking enlish instead of english subtitles.
naruto i have never watched or bleach or ah! my goddess so no opinions on those till i see a few episodes

I'm a total anime geek! I especially love Full Metal Alchemist, Fool Cool (Furi Kuri, FLCL) AND MY FAVE INUYASHA!!! INUYASHA GETS A 10. I like almost any anime. FMA has a really creative story and its out of the ordinary. Flcl is just a bunch of crazy fun! Its confusing at first but its still really cool. and Inuyasha...To me its a beutiful story with action, romance and it gives u a bit of a history lesson. It does take place in feudal japan.

Neon Genesis: Evangelion is by far my favourite.
Aside from having kick-butt robots (and for all the fans, yes, I know they aren't really robots), it makes you really think about things - like what a soul really is, what humanity really is, and all the rest. Apparently it's the most controversial show to ever come out of Japan.
Plus Asuka was four kinds of hot.

My most favourite anime is Gun Slinger Girls and Elfen Lied. (Of course I give them both 9, -1 since both of them are too short)
Gun Slinger Girls tell about little and innocent girls, that abandoned and in the brink of death, reconstructed as cyborg to become assassins for government. Lots of drama and romance, with good gun-blazing-actions.
After all, this anime isn't just about shooting, it's also about the life and the feeling of the girls. Even though they are the toughest assassins, they're still just innocent little girls.
Elfen Lied. Now this one has lots of bloods and gore, lots of nudity and little bit of sex (not hentai). Extremely violent, consider it like Akira but with girls. The story about when in this world, there are diclonius, an evolved homo sapiens (human) that have telekinetic abilities. With this, the main character easily mutilated her opponents in a blink of an eye.
This anime is not for children, I've warned you. The fights in this anime usually ends with organs and body parts scaterred everywhere.
Both of them are my favourite, though a little bit too short. They also have the manga and novel (I still havent got the novel but still searching). Oh, and Gun Slinger Girls already has it's own video games at PS2 (3 discs and I have them all, too bad that the game is all just about shooting).

Neon Genesis is really really good until you get to the movie- don't get me wrong the movie was fantastic, I just ended up hating the main character.
Cowboy Bebop is the grand daddy of them all especially the opening theme :D Though IMO movie was a tad disappointing.
Inuyasha is pure class, brilliant doesn't come close to describing it.

Naruto... Inu-Yasha... Furi Kuri... Fullmetal... blech. Most mainstream anime makes me cringe.
I suggest this to anyone and everyone who asks me: Monster by Naoki Urasawa. It's my favourite (and I do believe volumes 1 and 2 of the manga are out in English).
