Not having anything to do with personal lives or taste... the best female volcalist IMO is and always has been Mariah Carey.

I am...the best female singer I know...
But its all about taste, I dont like POP culture suit pushed, candy music(used that term very loosely)....I sing metal, I sing rock....so...anybody looking for a female singer in the Phoenix Arizona area!!! lol

Check out Paulina Rubio or Shakira. They both can make a man melt. I'm not hispanic, but when you hear these two sing, who cares?

I always liked the vocal stylings of Johnette Napolitano from "Concrete Blonde"...for pure Primal Scream i have to give kudos to the lead singer of "Otep"...the first time i heard her sing/scream, she gave me chills.
