it's an electric discharge mainly..
but if i were to describe it it would be a flash.. followed by vines of light across the heavens trailing each other like ducklings in a pond.. before a loud bang ends the whole show.

It is like watching a wonderful light show that only Mother Nature can give us.Yes it sends shivers up my spine each and every time.Yes it does seem to be hypnotic at times.

Hmmmm.... Can you fully display the awe and might of lightning in words, no, not so much, but the best way to describe it I think is something along the lines of Beams of white and color from the heavens beatiful and deadly all at the same time. It is a gift and a curse in its own ways...

It looks amazing but at the same time it's scary. It makes me feel like God is angry sometimes and is warning us. And sometimes it just makes me feel safe to be inside in my home.
Just one of the things about nature that is beautiful, amazing and dangerous at the same time.
