Mine was being in an earth quake and seeing the room move like jello..very strange..for some reason I wanted to run outside..I was a teen

A tornado in Marshaltown,Iowa. It wiped out the street before ours and skipped over our block and wiped out the next block. I really don't remember it as I was probably only a few years old. I know my dad said we were all on the living room floor praying.

I was 7 years old.It was a big Tornado that touched down right next to us in field.My dad,mom, my two brothers and three other sisters had to lay down in a ditch with a high bank to our right side.As it came past us all I could think of was what my dad said just before it hit.No matter what you hear and feel do not raise up until I tell you or I'll beat the tar out of you.Truly that was all I can remember because it was so loud it was all I could think of like a broken record do not raise up,do not raise up.We all survived but the path it took destroyed most of the peach orchards and the tomato crops.My dad lost of lot of work because of that stupid tornado.

My house burned while I was at home with a 4 year old and a bed bound adult who can not walk. It was last November. A lot was going through my mind and it seemed I was taking way to long to get moving but I was later told it was under a minute.

May 18, 1980. We lived about 75 miles south of Mt. St. Helens when it blew. We had several inches of ash on the ground and we had to wear masks outside(more hype than anything). I was 10 and thought the whole thing was cool.

I have been through hurricanes (I live in FL)...so I have been through Hurricane David in 1979 (I was 9 years old), and 2 years ago, I have been through 3 hurricanes: Charley, Frances, and Jeanne (I was 34 years old). It was scary but we made it all right.

I was driving home and didn't know it but followed behind a tornado for about 10 miles. It destroyed many houses but nothing happened to me at all.
