I am so sorry that you are in this position. I have been there and done that. It isn't that you are no good at politics; the problem is your BOSS. If he has singled you out, he is harassing you. It is wrong and it is illegal. The trick is proving it.

Here is the program that I used:
1- keep notes of dates, times, witnesses and the events. What was said and by who. When you can show a pattern of being singled out, take your notes to your HR department or an attorney.

2- as you walk in the door each morning, take a deep breath and tell yourself that 'its showtime'. Paint a smile on your face and go for it.

3- regardless of what this idiot says or does, you are a decent human being with value. He is the idiot if he doesn't see it.

Don't let him to abuse on you. Tell him you don't like this kind of behavior but, at first try to be as polite as you can. If he doesn't get it, then be rude.
If all else fails, find another job.
Remember, nobody has the right to treat others badly.

Leave. Your boss isn't gonna change.

If your boss wasn't in on this bully fest, I would say that to remain professional is to just do your job. Come in, do your job, go home. Not there to make friends, just there to work.

Just don't put up with it. Bullying has NOTHING to do with politicking.
