How did you react?
How did you feel?
How long until you lived it down?

Mine was sitting on some gum in 9th grade and not having a sweater or jacket to cover it up. The teacher called me up to the chalk board and EVERY one saw. ugh! I had to change into my gym clothes and then call my parents to drop off some clean clothes. It was awful walking back into class after I got cleaned up... Some cruel people were thoughtless enough to remind me of it for at least two weeks. *cringes*
Needless to say, I am MUCH more careful now.

In elementary 4th grade I walked into the boys restroom by mistake.I immediately turned and ran out.I was totally embarrassed. The rest of the school year about 5 months.

In Jr.High I was real sick and during practice for our school play I couldn't hear anyone. When it was over my teacher was yelling at me to hurry.I couldn't understand her and she grabbed my arm.She jumped about a foot into the air.She had to rush me to the nurses station she took my temp and it was 105*.I went home and stayed there for a week missing the play.I screamed when my teacher grabbed me because it hurt.I was aching all over and very disoriented. My teacher apologized to me and everyone was glad I made it back about 2 weeks.

In High School I was involved in a fight in the hallway.I was trying to protect my younger sister.I was being slapped, clawed and my hair pulled out.Someone grabbed my arm and I turned and punched them in the stomach.Yes it was a teacher I had just hit.The fight stopped and we were all taken to the office.I got suspended for 2 days and no one else did.I wanted to run but everyone was in the way.I was so totally shocked and scared when I seen it was a teacher.Well it was the talk of the school for ever.I think it stayed with me until I graduated 3 years later.

when i was a senior in high school, i got very sick with IBS for some reason, and ended up having to go to the hospital and missing two weeks of school, consecutively. As a consequence I was thrown out of school for missing too many days in a row, and was warned not to try to come back. I was rarely in any trouble, and as a general rule pulled decent grades in my classes, the majority of which were honors classes. It's definitely the worst thing to ever happen to me. I felt outraged, but i didnt think I could do anything about it. My initial reaction was just shock, and I'm not sure that i'll ever get over being denied my chance to graduate from high school, go to prom, and get a real diploma. However, I quickly got my GED, enrolled in college, and I recently went to a prom with my girlfriend, who will be graduating this year from the very same high school. I suppose that things are getting better after all.

Being harassed and bullied when other students thought I was gay. It always serves as a reminder to me just how cruel and ill intentioned some people can be - and children can be particularly vicious. Needless to say, I suffered through embarrassment, hurt feelings and shame and it took me years to work through that stuff.

well the worst thing that ever happened to me was that I was sitting in the classroom my twelfth grade year and this, boy that I kind of liked but I wasn't for sure becasue he was too childish, moved in a chair beside mine. my desk was right across from the teachers desk like maybe two or three feet away . anyway he reached over and started to play in between my legs I wanted to tell him to stop but it felt sooo good and I continued to let him do it. my teacher just happened to look up and behold he saw he boys hand between my legs or so I thought.I was scared and ashamed. the teacher didn't say anything so I calmed down i thougth he was going to send us to the deans office or something. man was I scared and EMBARRESED!!
