i had unprotected sex 5 days before my period. then i got my period. could i be pregnant?

10 days from the day you start your period you will start to ovulate. your eggs will live for three to four days so you can get pregnanat right before, during or days after you ovulate. So there are basically about 14 days that you are very fertile

CDI is the first day you start bleeding. CD14 is the average day you ovulate. so CD12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 are bad days to do it if you're trying to avoid pregnancy. 5 days before your period on an average 28 day cycle is CD 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28... which are non fertile days. But these are just textbook numbers, just use protection and you're fine.

Any time is a risk of getting pregnant but they say just after your period is the best time to conceive,....

yes, you could be. A girl is most likely to get pregnant a week before and a week after her period.

It all depends on your personal cycle. But using birth control is a really good idea....comdoms, pills, the nuvaring.....at least do that
