Yeah no-one will ever forget that day. I was working in London at the time, and we had just come out of a meeting when I heard people saying 'terrorists have just crashed into the World Trade Center!'
At the time I didn't think much of it, thinking it was some minor aviation accident or something. Until I got home...
I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I remember jumping in my seat and covering my mouth in horror. I can remember thinking 'those poor people!' and 'there's gonna be absolute outrage!'
But it certainly took a while for the reality of it all to actually sink in. In truth, I don't think there has been a day since where I haven't thought about it.

I was having my birthday breakfast with my husband. I didn't turn on the TV at home for some reason, and instead we reviewed some stuff for class. We were both in college at the time, and we had a psychology test that day. Two of my classes were cancelled, but we still had the test! After I saw the towers fall, I was talking to a few Marines that were on campus doing some recruiting, and their pagers went off. I remember shaking their hands as they left, and wishing them the best. It still seems like yesterday.

September 11 is one of those things that sits in my heart and hurts. I was getting ready for school (7th grade) when my step dad said that a plane had flown into one of the Twin Towers. I remember getting to school and being told to go strait to social studies. We talked about what was going on and there was no end to the speculation. It wasn't until the next morning that I found out my uncle had died in the attacks.

I was heading to work. I hadn't turned on the news before I heard about it on the radio. At the time, a relative was working in DC near the Pentagon, so it freaked me out. I also have an uncle in NYC, but I knew he wouldn't be anywhere near the Towers at that time of day. I was sitting by the phone, waiting to hear about the relative working for the government, and watching with horror as people jumped off those buildings.

I was being trained on a labor and delivery unit at a hospital in Illinois. Going in and out of patient rooms all day you saw it on the news, on peoples faces. The hospital had to do a bed count so that any available bed could be used for survivors. It was a very tramatic day. When the 2nd plane hit I went down to the church chapel to pray. I left work early to pick my kids up from school. Then I just went home and turned on the news and cried for days.

I was just coming home from taking my Son to School, and I think he was in the 5th grade too.
I was shocked, and couldnt believe it, that a plane had done that, so I hurried home, only to see a little bit later that another few into the other tower!!
Utter disbelief is all I could say...
Then, when they COLLAPSED!! IT was beyond my imagination that something like THAT could happen!!!
Its a scene that I will carry with me for the rest of my life...
I wish you well..

I was going to school early to finish up some homework, it was my Junior year in high school. I was listening to this radio station, where the DJs on the morning show are NOTORIOUS for making inappropriate jokes, so I just got angry and turned off the radio. When I got to school, everyone was in Mr. Farling's science classroom, watching the plane crash into the second World Trade Center building. The rest of that day, we didn't do anything in any of my classes, but sit and watch CNN for updates.

I in Philly. On my way to grad school. We had a review for our first Biochemisty exam. I had a 2 hour drive and normally only listened to my CDs, but for some reason I had the radio on that morning. The DJs said something happened at the WTC after one song, then cut another song short to give the details of the second plane. We were half way through our review when one of the profs walked in and sat down with his head in his hands. When the prof talking realized no one was paying attention to him, the first prof told us that the towers had fallen.

I was at home, like some people have music on doing housework, I have the news.
I was listening to BBC News 24, turned around to see why the presenter was getting so excited & there it was.
The second plane hit, I stood frozen not believing what I was seeing.
I too, remember it like it was yesterday.
