BOTH.....Each separate circuit is in parallel with the others. Each load on A circuit is in series with other loads on that ONE circuit.

Houses use a ring circuit, which is parallel. Otherwise you'd have to turn everything on at once and the voltage across each appliance would be different.

wen d circuits is connected in series n d switch is on, all of them wil turn on. d voltage drop across d different ckts wil be different n hence d brightness n intensity differs. also if any of d circuit breaks, no other circuit works. dis is not d case in parallel.

hence parallel connections r preferred

we have paralle circuits in our home because if any of the Wire short circuits then the whole network is not blown off lest the other parts of the circuits keep working...
whereas in series circuit if any of the appliance is short circuited then the whole network fails to work .
