I have two female friends(one black and one white) They want to cornrow my hair, but I'm not sure if it is socially acceptable. Someone please help.

Give me a break! It's your hair and your body. If you want the cornrows get them. If you don't like them it will only take you till 2007 to get them out. Just kidding. Try it you might like it. Don't worry what other people think, it's your head. Since when did cornrows have to be socially acceptable?

If that's the look you are going for, then by all means do it. I personally think it's silly looking on a white guy. But I would not think badly of you if you had it done. It's really too bad that people can't do something "out of the box" without worrying about what others will think. If you have friends who are black and white, then your social circle will accept your appearance because they are your friends.

It matters not what others say or think, because no matter how hard you try to please people, they will work harder to make you feel as if you are mispleasing them. I have had white guy friends that have had cornrows. It's all about what you want. Society doesn't own you, therefore you are free to do what you feel that you would like to do...just keep it decent and legal!

Absolutely not, thats the same as asking if it is OK for a black guy to have a mullet. It just doesn't make sense. The only difference is that black people look good(sometimes) with cornrows and white guys(and some girls) don't look good at all with a mullet. I don't know what you look like but I am sure you would look retarded with cornrows.

I don't think it looks good on black guys and I think it looks worse on white guys. Don't do it just because a couple of girl's want you to. Keep your hair the way you want it not the way others want you to wear it. Yeah I guess it's possible that black folks might find it offensive though I can't really speak for them.

Itf it is okay with you then go ahead. In social circles you just have to be yourself and start learning to be a leader and not a follower. Try in indoors first and then see if you are comfortable with it before releasing it in the public.
I have seen a few white guys wearing it and it looks absolutely beautiful. Go for it guy and have fun wearing it epecially if you have a high level of self esteem and self confidence.

Of course it's okay for you to get cornrows, it's your hair. But it may not look the way it's supposed to look. If the hair is coarser and less oily it looks much better.
