this question has left me without even one of the sideways answers i normally give. but if it is any consolation i have been where you are. keep associating with people and the true Friends will present themselves. i know this more than likely doesn't help much, but maybe it can give you a bit of hope. i didn't even have that much.

Let me tell you---true friends are a rare rare RARE thing, I have none except for my mother. She's the only one who truly has your best interest at heart.
