first of all there is no such thing as a homemade tan. But Ivory has put out a new soap with a very light bronzer in it as well as a lotion that tans you gradually. There both great and don't damage your skin

mix baby oil and iodine..... apply it completely and let it soak in.

becareful of the mix, or you'll turn orange test little pools mixing it to the color desired, use several times this summer to darkin the "TAN" write back and say how it goes
