No. In my opinion, that is. I would say that it's Kauai, but that's a personal thing. I've been to four of the islands and I would rate them in the following order:
(1) Kauai
(2) Maui
(3) Hawaii ('The Big Island")
(4) Oahu

Of course, this is a personal thing. It all depends on what you are into. Kauai is best for natural beauty, and it's not so overrun with tourists. If you're looking for night life on the other hand, Maui or Oahu (Honolulu) would be better. If you want to see active volcanoes, the Big Island is your best bet. If you want to do big-wave (really big!) surfing, Maui's the best.

If you run a Yahoo! web search on Hawaii or any of the individual island names, you'll get lots of good results that you can click on to go read more. Under "Sources" I put a couple of links that will do it automatically.

After beaching in Honolulu, the volcanoes and adventures interior the tremendous Island were spectacular! there's a lot to do there! the different islands are tremendous too, yet Maui is plenty like Oahu, so that you need to in basic terms stay to inform the tale Oahu, and Kauai is impressive and adventurous to boot, even with the undeniable fact that it really is often chilly and moist. way more suitable many times than the tremendous Island. desire I helped!!

Depends on what you expect out of your trip to hawaii. If you're looking for more sunny skies, late nights out, and the tourist traps, you want oahu. If you're looking for great hikes, tons of waterfalls, or beautiful greenery, you want Kauaii. If you are looking to take a dip in the cool active volcano, you want the big island. If you're asking if Maui is the best island in Hawaii, I hope you're going for your honeymoon and you dont like to stay up late. Have fun!

I haven't been to Maui, but I did spend quite a bit of time on the island Kaui. It has the wettest spot on earth and mountains with waterfalls everywhere with some of the most beautiful beaches and hikes. Although if your looking for night life this isn't the island for you.

No I don't think it's the "best", but I think it has its own personality. I love Kauai for its lush beauty. For a long time, it was the most untouched island that you could vacation on. Molikai is now has that distinction, but it is pretty expensive, never been there. The Big Island has a great resort (a 5 star) Mauna Launi, incredible.

Oahu is like N.Y. city! A real tourist trap.
