I then install and then when I try to connect nothing happens. I really want this because I am most comfortable with it as I'm not all that computer literate. Any suggestions how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. I appear to have JavaScript and was using Limewire previously sucessfully. Thank-you!

I am not realy sure what you really mean by "stopped working".
Is it that it doesn't start or it doesn't search?
Anyways, I will try to go through both...
- The program doesn't start:
LimeWire is based on Java (not JavaScript but Java)
Java is a FREE Runtime from Sun Microsystems o enable the running of programs created by Java Programming Languages...without them, the program won't work.
If you had the program working before, and now it stopped, then maybe Java Runtime was uninstalled.
You can get Java Rutime from here:
http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp
- The program doesn't search/download:
This could be because you are running Windows XP SP2 or higher, and have your firewall application as Windows Firewall.
Also, your default firewall application, if not Microsoft Firewall, could have the application blocked.
I found something strange when installing LimeWire to answer this question, that LimeWire disabled my Windows Firewall andwas not added to the exceptions list.
So, maybe your firewall application was re-enabled, and don't have LimeWire in the exceptions list to work/function over the internet.
To solve this problem, try the following:
- Open LimeWire;
- Open Tools menu then choose Options;
- On the left side of the screen that showed up is a side menu, double-click on "Advanced" to show a submenu below it;
- Click on "Firewall Config";
- Copy the number written next to the "Listen on Port:" label;
- Make sure that "Use UPnP (Recommended) is checked;
- Close this screen and minimize LimeWire.
Windows Firewall Solution (if no third party firewall is installed):
- Open Control Panel [found in Start Menu];
- Open Windows Firewall;
- If prompted that the Firewall is not active, choose to enable it;
- Once enabled, click on the "Exceptions" tab;
- Click on the "Add Program..." button;
- Scroll down until you find LimeWire, click on it then click "OK";
- Click "OK" again to exit Windows Firewall;
- Restart LimeWire - in some cases, prefared to restart the PC.
For third party firewall:
- Open your default Firewall application;
- Check the blocked applications/ports lists;
- Make sure that neither Limewire, nor the port number you copied from LimeWire Fireall Config are on the blocked list;
- Restart LimeWire, if it doesn't work, then try restarting Windows.
If LimeWire still doesn't work, then:
- Uninstall it;
- Open RegEdit from start menu => Run => regedit
- Hit the F3 button to start searching the registry;
- Set your search keyword to be LimeWire;
- Delete all the LimeWire keys you find;
- To go to the next key after deleting one [using the Delete Key on teh Keyboard], hit the F3 button again to continue searching for the next key;
- After deleting all keys, open your LimeWire setup location and delete the LimeWire folder
[normally located in "C:\Program Files" -- delete the Limewire folder]
- Restart Windows, then reinstall LimeWire.
Hope it does work again without any trouble...
If it doesn't work, then I would recommend you to use Shareaza
http://www.shareaza.com/
It connects to Gnutella1, Gnutella2, and eDonkey servers for download.
Although it may need a little annoying configuration on the start to make it download from these three servers, but I think its one of the best P2P applications.
Good Luck
####### Edit #######
AVAST
Its not a firewall
It contains something called Network Shield
What this does is that it monitors your ports and prevents viruses from accessing your computer through them, but it doesn't block ports...
ZoneAlram is a FireWall application, but can't help you with its configurationas I tend to use the default Windows FireWall...

re: "scared that God won't answer as in the present day as he did final time because of the fact i think like I basically turn to God while i choose him" Dont avert doing some thing solid, in view which you understand theres some thing extra constructive. Do solid in any way you may. turn to God in prayer at any possibility you may. and end with the senseless, inconsiderate, verbatim crap. wager what, God knows your prayers by using coronary heart... possibly he'd choose to take heed to from YOU sometime. tell him brazenly approximately your problems, talk to him like a real man or woman who's actually listening. Pour out your coronary heart and frustration and gratitude and each little thing. end keeping back in view which you sense in charge. this is a tactic of devil, no longer God. in case you choose to reconnect, do it. save attempting, dont get annoyed in case you dont get a beam of light from heaven after a communication or 2. And once you have carried out this, purely be quiet and nevertheless for a quick on a similar time as. provide him the possibility to respond by thought after. once you have a communication with somebody you dont purely yackyackyack and then walk away. You enable them to respond. provide him that possibility too. i will promise you, life gets infinitely harder for you previous grades and boys sometime. Your courting with God will make extra distinction on your life throughout the time of those cases than you may think of. Its some thing well worth battling for.

delete all programs from zonealarm and begin allowing what you want all over again being careful what you are blocking...some programs use others also to make them run (view what program each is attached to before blocking them)
