Yes, definitely, call a lawyer. You and your neighbors absolutely CAN use the courts to do things the police cannot do, and to give the police additional enforcement power. You need a plaintiff's class action litigator with experience in civil nuisance actions. What you can do is sue the owner of the property for creating a public nuisance, then you can get a court-ordered injunction preventing them from playing loud music or having too much foot traffic, violence, or other misconduct in the neighborhood. Then you HELP the police by giving them another weapon to use when they are having a hard time proving criminal acts, because the police can go in and enforce the civil injunction without needing to prove that crimes are actually occurring.

Yes, it could be dangerous, but in a class action at least there is some safety in numbers. If you and your neighbors cannot afford a lawyer, go to your local community legal aid society. This is a perfect case for that kind of service.

A lawyer isn't really going to help you unless these people have done something damaging to you or your family personally.

This sounds like a job for the police. If you think they might have drugs inside the house, give an anonymous tip to the police.

Hire a lawyer to seek an injunction in court for the tort of nuisance but be aware of cost implications and don't overlook matters of personal security.

Best advice is to call to police. This is a matter of noise violation. If this is a matter that you need a lawyer the police will be able to advise you of that.

buy a camcorder
and video tape there on goings
for at least 2 months BEFORE you call the cops or file a complaint
but if they are drug dealers, then they are armed..
and you really do not want to upset such people now do you ?
unless you are prepared for a firefight.

Send lawyers, guns and money.

Call the police instead & say your peace is being disturbed by the loud music. It's free.
